Green is the New Red- Fight the Climate Commies on June 12th

Carbon Belch Day

My new saying is “Green is the New Red”, as in, “Better dead than Red” (Better mean than green, anyone? Sorry, I’ll go on). It seems to me that all this environmental alarmism is doing horrible things to our freedom even as the alarmists claim they are saving the environment. (more…)

New Qaeda release expected from No. 2 Zawahri

If he was smart, al-Zawahiri would take this opportunity to surrender instead of making more demands. Of course, if anyone in Al-Qaeda was smart, they wouldn’t have placed themselves in a position of being enemies of the United States. Live and learn, right guys?

Sometimes I just crack myself up.

New Qaeda release expected from No. 2 Zawahri | Reuters

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Al Qaeda’s second-in-command Ayman al-Zawahri is expected to issue a new statement calling for an end to Israel’s economic blockade of the Gaza Strip, U.S.-based Internet monitors said on Tuesday.

Clinton open to being Obama’s VP (Cue evil laughter)

Of course she’s open to becoming Obama’s running mate. Wasn’t she saying something earlier this week alluding to the possibility of BHO being assasinated if he won the presidential election. I wonder who’d become the President then? Oh yeah… THE VICE PRESIDENT. She might as well tell him she’s going to put out a hit on him. If she gets the VP nod and he gets elected, I’m gonna start a pool in Vegas over how long Obama will have before he gets whacked. I’m putting my money on a month, any takers?

Clinton open to being Obama’s running mate | Reuters

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Hillary Clinton told supporters on Tuesday that she is open to being Barack Obama’s vice presidential running mate, a Democratic lawmaker and a party aide said.

Clinton, the former first lady and New York senator who appears on the verge of losing the Democratic presidential nomination to Obama, made the comment in a conference call with fellow members of her state’s congressional delegation.

“She said she would do whatever is necessary in order to make certain that we win, and serving as vice president would be one of the things she would be willing to do,” Rep. Charles Rangel, a New York Democrat and Clinton backer, told Reuters.

A Democratic party aide described the conversation in a similar manner, and quoted Clinton as saying, “I am open to it.”

Obama risks Eternal Damnation for Presidential win

HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

I haven’t been able to stop giggling since I heard this.

Obama quits church, citing controversies - CNN.com

Sen. Barack Obama said Saturday that he has resigned from the church where controversial sermons by his former pastor and other ministers created political headaches for his campaign.

“We don’t want to have to answer for everything that’s stated in the church,” the Democratic front-runner said. “We also don’t want the church subjected to the scrutiny that a presidential campaign legitimately undergoes.”

  1. Don’t trust ANYBODY (PSA#1)

Neither the democrats or the republicans have your best interests at heart. The whole mess in Washington is in fact a complicated web of smoke and mirrors designed to mislead and misinform you. Neither side is on your side. The democrats want socialized medicine, socialized education, and an un-armed, compliant populace. The republicans want to track your every movement, a militarized police force, and a perpetual war against a shadow threat1. Both sides have a great stake in globalism, a one world government. Read Orwell’s 1984, and you will see that all of these things were foretold for western civilization, that all are tenets of socialism. (more…)

  1. Not that terrorism is not a valid threat, there are many factions in the world today that are actively seeking the death of Americans, Christians, Jews, etc… They are very real, and very dangerous. The problem lies in that the enemy in this conflict has been so vaguely defined that it could be anybody. Even me!

Rachael Ray, Terrorism Advocate!?????

Wait a minute, what?????

Seriously?

File this one under “WTF?”.

‘Paisley’ or ‘jihad?’ Dunkin’ Donuts yanks Rachael Ray ad - May. 29, 2008

BOSTON (AP) — Dunkin’ Donuts has pulled an online advertisement featuring Rachael Ray after complaints that a fringed black-and-white scarf that the celebrity chef wore in the ad offers symbolic support for Muslim extremism and terrorism.

The coffee and baked goods chain said the ad that began appearing online May 7 was pulled over the past weekend because “the possibility of misperception detracted from its original intention to promote our iced coffee.”

In the spot, Ray holds an iced coffee while standing in front of trees with pink blossoms.

Conservative commentator Michelle Malkin complained that the scarf wrapped around her looked like a kaffiyeh, the traditional Arab headdress. ”The kaffiyeh, for the clueless, is the traditional scarf of Arab men that has come to symbolize murderous Palestinian jihad,” Malkin wrote in her syndicated column.

Have we been reduced to this? This smacks of McCarthyism at it’s worst; Rachael Ray, in my opinion, has been one of our country’s finest examples of the American Spirit in action, and to attack her like this over a scarf seems not only childish, but immoral as well. Ray came up from nothing, and through her unyieldingly positive attitude and unmatchable work ethic has gone on to become one of the most recognizable celebrities in the country, if not worldwide. The Iran Debate: Pelosi takes pro, The American people get conned

Here we have a great con, as if the survivors of the Marines killed in Beirut in 1983 are EVER going to see a dime out of Iran. I don’t want to take the side of a terrorist supporting regime such as Tehran, but something just doesn’t seem right about this. It’s almost as if this was a battle waged by and for the lawyers. Can they truly expect Iran to capitulate to a demand for 2.7 BILLION? Here is the story, from Reuters, today:

In my last post in this series, I laid a little knowledge on you about the Military-Industrial-Complex and the Nanny/Welfare-State, and in this post, I’ll explain how this ties in with my original point, which was to lay bare the diminishing “American Spirit”, and to explain where it went.

The Circle Jerks, When the shit hits the fan

In the last post of this series, I said that America had become a socialist nation.

Apparently, this doesn’t bother people all that much, or maybe it’s just that people didn’t bother reading the post in full, instead skipping along to the archives in hope that there’s been some more Bakken Formation news1. How disappointed those folks must be to get a history lesson instead?
Too bad, sez I.

You see, it’s important to know these things, and a lot of people just don’t know what’s been going on around them. Truth be told, it’s been going on for a long time, even at the height of McCarthy-era, “Red Scare” paranoia.

Throughout the time spanning the end of WWII, and on to the present day, our country has almost constantly engaged in rampant, constantly-increasing deficit spending2. In fact, the National debt of the United States has not been reduced since the Eisenhower administration. Rampant government spending has plagued this country since the Great Depression, and despite every screaming ounce of common sense out there, it just keeps going.

The two biggest offenders in this monstrous crime against the American people are Defense and Health and Human Services spending, the former favored by Republicans, and the latter by Democrats. Spending on HHS is higher than spending on defense, but not by much when compared to the spending in all other areas. In fact, the only other department that receives even close to the federal funding these two agencies get, is the Treasury Department, and this is just to pay down the interest on the National Debt. In other words, no matter what you may have heard during the Clinton administration, there is no such thing as a budget surplus. (more…)

Bush sells troops down the river yet again…

For someone so keen on going to war with radical Islamic terrorists (and yes, that’s what we’re doing, it’s not like we’re tangling with the IRA or the KKK in the “International War on Terror”), President Bush seems to enjoy nothing better than stabbing his own troops in the back to curry favor with radical Islamists. One of our boys had been using a Koran for sniper practice, and instead of standing up for him, our esteemed Commander in Chief has promised that this soldier will be punished. For shooting a BOOK and offending the muslim community. He didn’t hurt any civillians, the incident is unrelated to any raid, and has nothing to do with anything that could be perceived as a war crime. We had an acronym that summed this sort of thing quite well, while I was in Iraq- BOHICA: Bend over, here it comes again…

map

Two civilians and a Nato soldier have been killed in Afghanistan during a demonstration over the shooting of the Koran by a US soldier in Iraq.

The protest by over 1,000 people in Chagcharan turned violent after the crowd tried to storm a Nato base.

President Bush apologised earlier this week for the Koran incident, in which a copy of the book was found riddled with bullets at a shooting range in Iraq.

He also promised the soldier would be prosecuted.

So what is there to prosecute?

The Islamic community has been whipped into a fervor over this incident, the likes of which they used to reserve for Dutch cartoonists and expatriate novelists, and have been calling for this man’s head

Again, for shooting a BOOK

Our President is showing the world just how spineless Americans can really be by giving in to the Islamists’ demands. Instead of kowtowing to them, he should have brushed them off like the bunch of cry-baby cave-people they are- would this fly in the States? If some liberal artist shoots a Bible or a Torah as part of some bullshit performance art piece, or worse, wipes his/her ass with it, pisses on it and throws it into a fire, said individual would receive no punishment at all, his/her actions being protected by the First Ammendment. No matter what amount of religious fervor built up in opposition to such actions, they wouldn’t stand a chance of seeing such an insult being dealt with in the way these Islamists are demanding. More than likely, the offended Judeo-Christians in this scenario would be told to quit crying over what was essentially nothing, and to go develop a sense of humor. This is what Bush should have done, instead of capitulating. Hell, more have been hurt by the Muslim protest of the Koran shooting than were harmed in the actual shooting, as two were killed in the ensuing riot that broke out.

Is this justice? Or is it a tale told by an idiot, a bunch of bass-ackward cave-dwellers sharing half a brain and a hive mentality, full of sound and fury, and signifying nothing?

Do these people really have nothing better to do than riot over something so trivial?

Hell, if we’re going to start rounding up Americans who’ve offended people while visiting other countries, half the population who’ve ever been abroad would have to be locked up and shot in the back of the neck, including yours truly.1 Hell, there’s a particular illegal immigrant who’s come through my wife’s line at the Grocery store and, when asked if he’d like to donate a buck to Texas Children’s Hospitals, blew his top and said that if it wasn’t for Mexicans only, he wasn’t donating shit. He then went on to rant about how Americans needed to get over themselves, how how we never did anything but whine, and that “we’re gonna be running things here soon, so you better get used to the idea.” I don’t know about you, but I found that pretty damn offensive, especially because all my wife had done to set him off was ask for a charitable donation, which she had been asked to do with everyone who came through her line. Does this give me the right to call for this man’s life? Suppose, instead of racial diatribe, he’d been an atheist, and had gone off on a rant about the stupidity of believing in God- would I have the right to call for him to be punished for what, to me, would be blasphemy? Of course not. This sort of behavior is a throwback to the days of witch trials and inquisitions, which may be where we’re headed if we keep rolling over for the very people we should be fighting. In fact, I think I’m going to go out and get myself a Koran to use as target practice, as a show of support for our troops over there. if anyone else out there would like to do the same, send me a pic, and I’ll post it in a special section here.

    Footnotes
  1. Yes it’s true, I have offended Allah… In 2003 I brought more than a few skin magazines with me to Kuwait and Iraq, where pornography is illegal. Mea Culpa, but that’s a long damn time to go without seeing my wife, and certain needs had to be met. Don’t you judge me.
